There are so many decent tactical shooters on the market nowadays from Ready or Not to ground branch, however today we are covering something really cool within the space.
Six Days In Fallujah or SDIF (as it is commonly referred to by fans) is a tactical shooter that places the Player in the shoes of the marines that fought the war in Fallujah.
The campaign has you watching documentary scenes from veterans who describe their time in Fallujah and then the game gives you control of your Character. This split between documentary and gameplay really has you feeling like you’re right there in the moment.
The combat in SDIF is unforgiving and one wrong move or non communication from your squad mates (if you’re playing multiplayer) could end it all. Guns are loud and explosions kick up dust through the towns street, indoors fighter fights create thick smoke that you can just about see through.
The team over at Highwire Games did an excellent job at portraying the grit of war. The Ai enemies are coded to perfection, as you hold angles they will try to flank you and create an opening where you the Player are not looking.
Currently you can play across multiple maps with your friend or tackle the campaign alone, there is no weapon selection within the game however you get assigned a weapon set depending on the class you choose or are given by the commanding member of your team.
