About The Game
Enter an inexplicable, abstract mansion to rescue a loved one in this fast-paced, brutal, and dark roguelite filled with precise but savage gunplay and time-bending slow motion. Face your inner demons and unveil the secrets of the Mansion.
Gameplay
OTXO sees the player push through each level eliminating enemies in a fast but chaotic fashion.
Each level seems to be split into three parts and these parts end with a boss. Certain stages in the level allow the player to collect upgrades in the form of a drink at the bar or they can opt to spend there points for a gumball that that unlocks guns, when you unlock a gun you won’t physically get the gun but enemies will use it during your runs now

Bosses
Bosses in OTXO are chaotic but really fun the first boss I come across was called the Inbred Serpent or something to that affect. This boss was a metal snake with machine guns all over it’s body. Using the games slow mo feature similar to that of the hit title Max Payne, we managed to dodge past the some of the onslaught that would otherwise ended the run and dispatch the enemy.
Each boss seems to have multiple attacks which add some diversity to the games boss battles which was nice to see.

Gunplay
OTXO’s gunplay is actually really fun it sees players shooting through doors dipping in and out of cover and rolling while shooting, however sometimes the chaos is a little too much and it’s really easy to lose sight of where your aim is actually positioned on the screen given the game’s colour scheme.

Our Thoughts
OXTO is a really fun top down Roguelite and you can see the passion put into the game by the developer. The games gun play is seriously fun and hectic however sometimes it can lead to frustration due to he white reticle on a white background. Bosses withing the game are well built with multiple phases and attacks. Upgrade are vast and give players a good choice of variation on runs.
