Grab Hax Here

“An Addictive Futuristic FPS”

About The Game

Future Earth is a dystopian battle ground (not connected to Helldivers 2 we swear)

The robots are at war with one another. You take on the role of a sentient intelligent robot in this fast paced first person shooter.

Hax is a multiplayer FPS which tries it’s best to remain true to traditional FPS multiplayer games (we’ll touch on that soon) built from the ground up with Mobile VR in mind, this Meta Quest title really knows what it wants to be

Gameplay

HAX provides some seriously fun gameplay, it’s fast, methodical, and seriously addictive.

Think of the game as a little like COD the aim is to run around kill people to get money and xp in order to unlock additional weapons and camos, however here the camos won’t break your bank.

HAX does something really interesting with its gun magazines, they have multiple functions it reloads your guns energy cell, acts as a sword, a grenade and even the key to Hack a terminal or another robot causing them to bust out their finest dance moves. This mechanic actually took us by surprise but we absolutely love it. The game makes it so easy to take your hand off the weapon grab a mag and at the press of a button it’s a grenade, or have it as a sword and kill someone press the sword button again and you can load that same mag into your weapon. This makes for some seriously versatile gameplay.

Game modes

Now the game offers a good variety of game modes however we did want more ill explain shortly but for now let’s jump right into the game modes that we did play.

Death match: now one would assume Death match is everyone for themselves well in HAX this is not the case this is in fact team deathmatch. Nothing weird happens within this game mode it’s your standard team Vs team shoot out. The first team to reach a set amount of points wins it all.

Zone capture: it’s not actually called zone capture but for the sake of this review it is. In this game mode it’s the team that can hold the zones the longest or that is what it seemed like amidst all the chaos. Here is where your mag comes into play as the key to each terminal inside the zone you will need to put your energy mag into the terminal to capture it.

Fishball: fish ball had to be one of the most chaotic modes we played, the aim of this is to smack the fish and hold it for as long as possible, holding the fish will net your team points and it’s the first team to reach a set amount of points that wins the game.

Our Thoughts

HAX is a solid game there are a few things I would change and that would be the grenade throwing can sometimes be a bit weird and I had a little bug within the game that caused me to constantly turn like I had stick drift however the person I was playing with didn’t experience this issue.

Other than the aforementioned issue I wouldn’t change anything about the game it plays out well and it’s chaotic, it has a leveling system and multiple weapons to choose from and let’s be real who doesn’t love that chaotic FPS fun.

TLDR

Futuristic FPS with robots, leveling and a mag that can do anything.
