Game Overview
In SEDAP! A Culinary Adventure you take control of one of two characters one is the cook and the other character is the hunter, the game plays out very much like overcooked but SEDAP does things differently and different is what we need in today age of gaming. SEDAP also has a story of sorts your working a kitchen on a remote island to pay of a debt to your sister or at least that is the gist I got from the dialog and we all know I am not a keen fan of dialog but none the less I read through it to provide you guys with a decent take on the title.

The Gameplay
You start out in a base camp and here you can do a few things one of my favourite things you cna do in the base camp is look at the cook book I cannot tell you how many cool recipes I have added to my arsenal from this game alone, Sticky Mango Rice is one of them. Along side this the base camp allows the player to change their weapon at the weapon rack and allows them to trade with the merchant for new gear along there travels, each mission will net you gold or the equivalent of gold at least using this on the merchant will allow you to purchase new equipment. Another feature of the camp is the map here you will choose your mission you can continue with the story or you can replay older mission to beat your previous scores if you did not net the max the first time round.
Once you have selected a mission you will see that one of you is the chef while the other one is the hunter, the chef is more efficient in the kitchen and can cook foods a lot quicker than the hunter but that does not make the hunter useless as the hunter can gather food quicker, has more hp and has the ability to chop foods faster, this mechanic makes for some seriously fun yet chaotic gameplay.
We will use the example of Pineapple Chicken, or this is what I have been calling it the entire time, the chef will throw some rice in the wok while the hunter gathers the chicken and chops it up, while the chef is throwing that into the wok the hunter can go gather some pineapple and bring that back, at this stage there is a little minigame that plays out for the cook where you have to click on the blue bars to cook up the dish, beware though fail three times and you have to start over.
Just like in the counter part once a dish has been prepared you have to drop it off to the delivery window however here we seem to be working some fast food takeaway joint because everyone seems to be on a mount slowly passing by the window.

True To Cuisine
I know I have touched upon this prior but I really wanted to praise just how informative this game is when it comes to learning about the cuisine of other countries and the dishes that are around as aforementioned the Sticky Mango Rice I managed to find a recipe for this one I knew about it in the game, while the game does teach you what is needed for the dish in the game it does not teach you the method however that is not the end of the world as a quick google search can get that information for you. Another dish I learnt of was Dan Bauk which is a dish from the Indian cuisine, I thought it was nice to find out about these kind of dishes when you do not live in these countries you don’t often come across the obscure dishes of the world.

Our Thoughts / Overview
SEDAP! A Culinary Adventure takes a system that has been previously tried and tested and adapts it to make it work even better than before by adding a second class into the mix. The game teaches people new dishes from the south Asian cuisine and opens peoples eyes to other good food that is out there. The game has a story that progresses through out the game and a progression in the form of unlocks and weapon changing between maps. Levels are chaotic but remain fun. Overall we had a real laugh with the game all the while learning and in our opinion that has to be the best way.
