Ready or Not released on pc in December 2021 since then Void Interactive has been working tirelessly to bring updates and patches to the game.
Ready or Not provides some of the best visuals story telling in any FPS game I have played as you push into a building on any of the maps you get a real understanding of what is happening in each situation and the game doesn’t hesitate to cover some of the more touchy subjects in the world.
Since release we have seen major improvements to the AI who now don’t just stand and shoot they will flank and reposition themselves when sighted and not pinned. Alongside these Quality of Life updates we have also seen 2 expansions.
The first expansion is home invasion which sees the team try to push through multiple home locations to remove and home invaders after Los SueƱos has been hit by a category 5 hurricane. These locations (levels include) Dorms, Narcos and Redwood this expansion also added the FN 509 pistols to the game along with the mp7 PDW
The second expansion is Dark Waters which sees the team deployed to an oil rig to rescue hostages held by the United peoples front s terrorist organisation. As well as 2 other maps that are tough to tackle which makes for some amazing tactical gameplay. This update also adds new weapons such as the MK17 and M14S-16.
One of the upsides of RoNs DLC is that only one of your party needs to own them to play meaning if you’re partying with someone that already has them you can play them for free.
Overall Ready or Not is packed with some amazing visuals, story telling and amazing teamwork. The game forces you to work as a team to get through each scenario and this alone makes for some amazing situations.
