I think it goes without saying that the rougelite genre has been getting a lot of love and attention over the last couple of years however there is one game that I have currently sunk 40 hours into that just stands out from the crowd.
The game in question is Ravenswatch. The game’s art style is one that just captures your attention combining this with multiple characters that each have a different move set and you have a masterpiece.
Ravenswatch has you the player starting out at level 0 (like your typical rougelites) your aim is to progress through three days leveling and obtaining skills along the way, at the end of each day you will have to fight a boss who’s moved set also seems to change dependant on the run and players in the lobby.
The game’s cycle is very addictive with players not knowing what’s going to spawn on the map when they load in or where about on the map they will start.
The characters, the game currently boasts nine player-able characters including Red and geppetto, with 2 more characters coming next month (may 2025)
Geppetto has the ability to control his puppets to fight for him and tank damage for the rest of the players, while red puts out a lot of dps playing as a human during day cycles and a werewolf during the night cycles.
This game is definitely not one to skip over and we highly recommend this game.
